How does a Hostess Kit work?
First, shop by occasion and find your perfect Hostess Kit. Our Hostess Kits were designed as a party in a box - it will contain everything you need to host the perfect party! You can choose between a standard Hostess Kit (for purchase) or if you would like a Hostess Kit + Rental. Hostess Kits are based on a party for 12. You will have the option to increase the quantity of your products or add related items to your cart. Don't forget to shop our party supplies for other items that may go with your color scheme!

What's the difference between a Hostess Kit and a Hostess Kit + Rental?
A Hostess Kit is a party kit for purchase. You have the ability to personalize your party by adding the guest of honor's name/age/initials. Standard processing time is 2-4 business days + shipping time. All Hostess Kits ship free!

A Hostess Kit + Rental contains everything a Hostess Kit does, as well as items you rent from Undercover Hostess. When ordering a Hostess Kit + Rental, you will be prompted for your party date, guest of honor's name/age/initials, and may have the option of choosing the size of your table linen (party dependent). Items from the Hostess Kit you purchased will be processed in 2-4 business days + shipping time. Your Rental items will be delivered separately two business days before your selected party date. The next business day after your event, just return rental items to us. Shipping is free, both ways!

What comes in a Hostess Kit?
A Hostess Kit contains eleven different theme coordinated items made for you to host the perfect party. Each Hostess Kit is $75 and designed for a party for 12. These Kits contain items such as:

  • Paper plates
  • Dessert plates
  • Paper cups
  • Napkins
  • Candy cups
  • Personalized Banner
  • Paper straws and custom straw flags
  • Balloons
  • Party picks
  • Tent cards (custom menu or place cards)
  • Confetti

A Hostess Kit + Rentals contains all the above mentioned items PLUS rental items. These items may include the following:

  • Table linen
  • Backdrop piece
  • Decor item
  • Front door item
  • Bunting banner

    Rental items must be returned the first business day after the event. Please see specific Hostess Kit + Rentals for details on what is included.

    How do I choose the perfect package?
    We have separated our different parties by occasion (baby shower, bridal shower and birthday party) and narrowed it further by gender (girl birthday party, boy birthday party, etc.) to help you filter down what you are looking for. Each package description is detailed and boasts a sampling of pictures.     What's the difference between Mini Holiday Kits and Hostess Kits?
    Our Holiday Kits are released certain times during the year. They are smaller versions of our standard Hostess Kits, and are designed for a party of 8. There is always the option to increase your product, as well as additional items. There are no rental items included in the package. Everything your receive is yours to keep!

    Why is the date I pick for my party not available for selection on the calendar?
    If you are unable to select a certain date for your party, it is because our Rentals for that party have already been reserved for that selected time frame.

    When do I need to order a Hostess Kit by?
    Orders for Hostess Kits for purchase as well as Rentals, must be placed at one week before your event.

    When will I receive my Rental?
    You will receive your Rentals at least TWO business days before your party date. For example, if you select that your party is being held on a Saturday, you will receive it on Thursday. The other items from the standard Hostess Kit you purchased will ship shortly after they are processed.

    How do I order invitations?
    Invitations are sold separately from the Hostess Kits. Find the design that correlates to your party and checkout. Within two business days of placing your order, we will email a .jpg design for you to approve. Your invitations will be mailed to you after your approval. Please refer to specific invitations for processing times.

    What happens if I accidentally stain, damage, or misplace any of the rental items?
    We understand that items may have normal wear and tear (minor stains, minor rips, etc.). In case of items being destroyed beyond normal wear and tear, lost, stolen, or damaged, we will charge your credit card for our retail price of the items.

    How do I wash the linens?
    No need! We take care of all the dry cleaning for the event linens.

    How do I return my rental items? The next business day after your event, place your Rental Kit back in the box you received it in, and attach our pre-paid shipping label. Then just drop it off at your nearest UPS dropbox or store. See our Late Fee Policy for more information.

    How do I assemble my utensil kit? Utensil kits will require some assembly. For instructions on how to do so, please see the tutorial here.

    Can I just order individual items instead of a Kit? Yes! We offer all of our party supplies for individual sale. Click on the navigation link labeled "Party Supplies" for a listing of our products for purchase. Custom printed items included in the Kit (banners, signs, straw flags, etc) are only available through purchase of a Hostess Kit.

    What are my delivery options?
    Hostess Kits and Hostess Kit Rentals are sent via UPS. Individually ordered party products are sent either via UPS or USPS. Shipping time is dependent upon shipping method, size of packages, and location. Please see the Shipping page for more details. Remember, Hostess Kit Rental items will be delivered two days before your selected party date.

    Where do you deliver? At this time we deliver to valid residences, hotels, or commercial establishments in the contiguous 48 states in the U.S. We do NOT ship to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico or PO Boxes. At this time we do not offer delivery outside of the U.S.

    Do you charge taxes on your products?
    Only orders that have a shipping address in Tennessee, where are offices are located, are charged taxes.

    How much is shipping?
    Rates for regular shipping are based upon the total cost of your merchandise. Please see our Shipping page for more detailsspan>

    What is your return policy?
    If there is a problem with your order, please let us know within 3 days of receipt of order and we will make our best effort to resolve the issue. We do not issue refunds, but instead you will receive store credit. Please be aware that some of our items are non-returnable (i.e. balloons). Sale products are final sale and can not be returned.

    In the event that you need to return an item, you must first notify us by email for approval, at which time you will receive the return address and authorization number. Items eligible for return must be authorized, unused, unopened and returned within 14 days of the date your order was received. Store credit will be provided after the return has been received. Shipping costs are nonrefundable and all costs for return shipping are the responsibility of the customer. Be sure any returns are shipped prepaid, insured and with a tracking number for documentation purposes. Make sure to ship returns in a sturdy box (not a paper envelope or padded mailer), as damaged returns cannot be accepted.
